The "Textbook Issue"
Abstract
The next issue of the Journal of Music History Pedagogy (vol. 1, no. 2, Spring 2011) will focus on one of the main fixtures of music history teaching—the survey textbook. Contributors scheduled for the next issue include Mark Evan Bonds, J. Peter Burkholder, John Walter Hill, and Kristy Swift; reviewers scheduled for the issue include José Bowen, James Briscoe, Tony Bussard, and Jan Herlinger. Readers are invited to contribute their thoughts on the first issue in the form of Letters to the Editor; the editors are committed to printing letters which would be of interest to our readers in future issues.
