Author Biography

Stephen C. Meyer, Syracuse University

Stephen Meyer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art & Music Histories at Syracuse University, and the Editor-in-Chief of this Journal. His research specialties include early nineteenth-century opera, film music, and the history of recorded sound. He is the author of Carl Maria von Weber and the Search for a German Opera (Indiana University Press, 2003) and Epic Sound: Music in Postwar Hollywood Biblical Films (Indiana University press, 2014) http://finearts.syr.edu/meyerbio.htm
