Author Biography

Stephen C. Meyer, College Conservatory of Music University of Cincinnati

Stephen Meyer is an Associate Professor in the Division of Composition, Musicology, and Theory at the College Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati, specializing in early nineteenth-century opera, film music, and the history of recorded sound. He is the author of Carl Maria von Weber and the Search for a German Opera (Indiana University Press, 2003) and Epic Sound: Music in Postwar Hollywood Biblical Films (Indiana University press, 2014), as well as numerous journal articles and book chapters. In November of 2014, he became the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Music History Pedagogy.
