DDM: update an existing database record
Note: Updates to entries are not currently being posted pending a review of the Society's web properties and technology.
If you are the author of a dissertation included in DDM, or if you become aware of information needed to make a record more accurate, you are encouraged to recommend an update to the DDM record. Simply identify the record and report the changes required in an email to the AMS (ams@ams-net.org).
When notifying the AMS of a completed dissertation, please provide the following information:
- Completion date
- Title (if different from the one on file)
- optional: dates encompassed by the dissertation topic (not the dates that the author's dissertation research took place)
- optional: additional keywords (There is no need to repeat words found in the title, nor to separate words with punctuation. Twenty-word limit. Avoid common words such as "music," "the," etc. One word = one word, e.g. "music in the baroque" is four words, "theater music" is two words, etc.)
- Number of volumes
- Number of prefatory pages
- Number of text pages
- Does the dissertation contain any of the following? Please identify all that apply:
Acknowledgments, Dedication, Illustrations, Plates, Tables, Facsimiles, Musical exx., Transcriptions, Translations, Works lists, Thematic catalogues, Appendices, Discographies, Bibliography, Indices
If available, please provide:

- Dissertation Express reference
- Dissertation Abstracts reference
- Publication
- Internet access information
