Charitable contributions
The American Musicological Society relies on charitable contributions for a number of its programs.
In Seattle at its annual meeting, the AMS launched a five-year capital campaign entitled OPUS: Opening Paths to Unlimited Scholarship. Contributions may be made by designation or to support AMS goals where funds are most needed. Please see the AMS OPUS "How to give" page for full details.
As a non-profit organization recognized as such by the Internal Revenue Service (501c3 Corporation), contributions are normally fully tax deductible in the USA. The AMS Federal Tax ID number is 23-1577392. Our charitable status may be confirmed independently through the nonprofit regulatory agency Guidestar, the National Database of Nonprofit Organizations, where our tax returns and other information are made public.
